Welcome to the Web3.0 Revolution
DATR© researches technologies that could help decentralize aspects of internet connectivity. The aim is to let communities communicate with less dependence on traditional ISPs.
Billions of wireless access points exist around the world. DATR© is testing software upgrades on select models, but compatibility varies and continues to be evaluated. The hope is that mesh networking of these access points could extend connectivity where backhaul links are available. Maintaining such networks requires ongoing support from local users.
Introducing HotspotBnB
HotspotBnB is an open-source project intended to add new features to supported routers. It can also run on small computers that connect to routers, such as Raspberry Pi devices. The software operates alongside your current ISP, and setup difficulty depends on the hardware in use. There is no charge for the software itself, but normal internet fees still apply.
This site provides early software releases and guides for those who want to experiment with the project. After installation, compatible devices may run lightweight applications directly. Current examples include media players, monitoring tools and retro game emulators. Many of these operate locally, while remote access typically requires an internet connection.
